Apply a solution of warm water and mild non-bleach liquid detergent (1 tsp. : 1 qt. water) OR
clear mild dishwashing liquid without additives (hand-softners or scents)

Let stand for 5 minutes
 
Blot up detergent and apply clear warm water
Blot up water and again apply and blot until stain removed
Absorb remaining moisture with layers of white paper towels weighted down overnight
When completely dry, vacuum or brush pile to restore texture
